Omega AS-i Control Unit
The AS-i unit combines a compact enclosure with limit switches, visual indication and integral solenoids for position indication plus valve actuator control. This unit incorporates the features and advantages of digital communication. By utilizing a common communication protocol known as AS-i (Actuator Sensor-Interface) it is possible to create a network of devices that are connected to each other with a single pair of wires.
This single pair of wires can be utilized for both communication of valve/actuator position and also to supply power to the valve/actuator solenoid valve installed inside the unit.
The AS-i unit can be also provided with a M12 connector, this feature makes AS-i limit switch box installation faster and safe (you don't need to open the switch box cover).
Available on request a Dribble Control execution that allows the unit to operate the 3 position valve control for both spring return and double acting actuators.
The AS-i unit can then interface with a device known as a Gateway. The Gateway allows the limit switch box to communicate with higher level bus systems such as Profibus, ModBus and DeviceNet.
